We are a site, by women, for women. Our objective is to offer an exciting online magazine, with content that motivates women to grow to their highest potential. It is our belief that a well-rounded woman can go into the world with the ammunition to change it for the better. Worldly wisdom, a keen sense of self, and a finely tuned moral alertness will provide the Modern Woman with the necessary tools to carry herself with dignity and to honor her gender.

An abundance of negative stereotypes flood our airwaves each day, due to the insensitive nature of popular culture and its intent on feeding on our weaknesses. We live in a world of unfortunate commodities, where even women, as transformed into objects, can be bought, sold, bartered, and thrown away at the user's discretion. We are here to change that; to shed light on that which deserves attention, acting as an aid to a culture of deception and selfish motivations. We are here to offer an alternative to mainstream women's publications, that which simplifies the "woman" into a sex object, diet-obsessed, pop culture fanatical wasteland.

We encourage you to explore our online magazine with an open mind and receptive heart. As you dig deeper, we hope you are able to discover that our motivation is a passionate desire for the growth of women, both young and old.

Empowering women through their acceptance of what it is to be a woman in today's modern society, and how to retain their dignity in an undignified world."

There is nothing more beautiful than a woman that fully appreciates and realizes her intelligence, capabilities, spirit, humor, appreciation of life, and unstoppable beauty (which goes far beyond a pretty exterior). A woman that is confident with herself can appreciate others in a way that honors them unconditionally. However, our society and the ever-present media continually create an indefinite amount of insecurities, telling us that we are insufficient. Unrightly so, this brainwashing effect has built a long string of self-esteem issues as result.

We are not here to cultivate insecurity or deprive the Modern Woman of who she is, but rather give her an inspiring gathering place on which to grow, mature, and blossom. MaryElise is comprised of numerous women, strong women, whose goal is to bring women together, celebrate them, and appreciate them. Each woman contributes a different gift but all focus on Women Empowerment, and what they can do to speak their voice.

MaryElise is personal, it is about each individual who enters this site. We are concerned about each woman and the important issues, pressures, and expectations they deal with on a daily basis. Think of MaryElise as your best friend; always reliable, relational, and most of all, real.

We appreciate beauty, fashion, and the female body, in an empowering way, rather than whittling it down to a demeaning, negative placement for women. We embrace the beauty of women, as an interest rather than a continuous obsession. Women are more than an objectified play toy! MaryElise is a site where you can come for a well-rounded scope of information ranging from beauty, fashion, fitness, lifestyle, and relationship tips, to the depth of the problems that our society is confronted with daily but shuns away.

Women are strong, beautiful, and intelligent individuals that deserve dignity and respect. This site appreciates every woman, each ethnicity, age, and background. ForTheModernMan.com serves as the mirror site targeted to the other set of individuals on this planet, Men. It's a beginning of a solution to an overly drawn out problem, which is the placement and degradation of women in society.

Women must appreciate one another, not belittle or look down on another because of simple, superficial 'achievements' or an 'image' that one may attempt to portray. Don't toss a dirty look to another woman because of jealously or insecurity, celebrate one another! If you appreciate a woman's intelligence tell her! If another woman enamors you, tell her! Or something simple as complimenting another's beauty, inward or outward, celebrate each other. Love is so much kinder and so much more refreshing and renewing than hate!

Each woman is a true gift from God, constantly pouring out a source of beauty that is so pure, so simple yet so complex...each woman holds a continual gift, each woman has strength, genuine strength that is empowering. Do not allow society or any other outside source to negatively influence your own self perception!
