Using colors rich enough for even the finest emperor, Versace and Roberto Cavalli continue to quench the thirst of many, by drowning their garments in the brightest, boldest, and richest hues. With the intensity of the colors, the fabric is equally as stunning. Chiffons, silks, furs, leathers, all of the finest quality, remain as a constant throughout these two collections, both past and present.

When you see a Versace or Cavalli print, you can identify it immediately. Due to their consistency, and repeated use of colorful, bold prints, and muted, delicate, animal prints, they are easily identifiable. Both of these designers have carved their own niches in the designer marketplace, creating their own sense of luxury, their own sense of style, and their own sense of glamour. These two designers are always eccentric, always over the edge
; they have the ability of taking a lifeless garment, snipping it here, sewing it there, splashing it with a dose of color, and a masterpiece is created.

Their creations are desired all over the world, from Hong Kong to Milan, New York to Los Angeles
; Versace and Cavalli are here to stay. When in need for that spectacular, one-of-a-kind piece, celebrities flock to these designers. Today’s hottest starlets are wearing nothing but Versace and Cavalli. The youthful spirit, sinful sexuality, and comfortable wear of the garments, make it hard to keep these designer’s threads on the shelves.

From the start of the Gianni Versace Company in 1978, it was definitive. Definitive of daring chic, heightened glamorous luxury, incorporating unexpected prints, patterns, fabrics, and colors, into innovative cuts and shapes. After his tragic death, his sister, Donatella, took over and magnetized Versace’s worldwide popularity. “Versace is a mix of sex and celebrity chic that Gianni invented and Donatella perfected. Gianni was Versace, the man who single handedly transformed fashion from mere clothes to entertainment-"something you do, not something you wear.” The company is truly a success, coming out on top in menswear and womenswear, eyewear, accessories, beauty, and even the hotel markets.

Versace is known for their use of brilliant colors, mainly neon’s, with variations of pink, yellow, green, and blue incorporated into nearly every ensemble. Metallics are repeatedly used in handbags, coats, shoes, and most of all, jewelry. Donatella loves her gold, which is apparent through her creations. Don any one of her designs, and you are instantly transformed, into Rodeo Drive mama, demanding attention from all eyes. Tantalizing silhouettes grace the Versace runways, season after season. Donatella has a keen sense of the female body and treats it as a mere backdrop for her eccentric designs.

Her creations are always fitted, always flirty, and always fun. She focuses on drawing attention to the most seductive parts of a woman, her chest and legs, and creating a mesmerizing silhouette that truly hugs the hips and shows the shape of a woman. She mimics the seductive power of a woman’s body in her environments as well. The sexually charged music and rich colors accessorizing each runway show, and the brilliance of the garment colors against the crisp, white background of her retail stores, continue the image Versace has so powerfully defined. A woman donned in Versace states glamour, wealth, a strong sense of sexuality, power, and intrigue, and that’s what has mystified so many, and made Donatella Versace the most powerful woman in Fashion.
